We’re very happy to announce that we now have an online school for the courses we have been building for the last couple of months. We’ve been getting a tremendous amount of students enrolling and that opened our eyes on the great demand that is already available especially for the XMPP protocol that we’ve only covered so far. I would like to take this moment to thank all the students that have enrolled with us so far and grateful for all the feedback.
Now that I have shared my excitement, I would like to address a piece of feedback that we’ve been constantly getting. We have chosen teachable as our platform for our courses, because it seems to match most of our goals and wishes for a platform to work with. However, one big turn off of the platform is that the checkout process is not very intuitive in that when the student hits the “enroll in course now for xx$” they are taken to a screen where they need to put in their credit card or paypal details and they are shown a field for an email
This is all good except that it really not intuitive. In my opinion, a better way would be to prompt the student to login/sign up if they are not login and automatically take them to this checkout page when they finish they sign/up login process. If someone knows of a way to achieve this with teachable I would be very grateful if you shared how. In the mean time, here are the steps for our students to enroll with what is available at the moment :
(1) Visit our school and hit the enroll now button
(2) Sign up with our school and if you already have an account, just login in with the school account by hitting the button in the bottom left corner.
(3) With your account in place ( remember the email you used) , revisit your course of choice and hit the “Enroll Now Button”, your email should be pre-filled and if not fill it in the email field. The rest is just providing your payment details
After this, you should be in and ready to take your course of choice with us. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the students that have provided their feedback and thanking you for all the support you’ve given us through out the last couple of months.
I know it looks like we’re teaching you things guys, but the reality is that we’re learning a great deal from you. Thanks again for that and if you haven’t signed up already, please visit our newsletter page and sign up to be notified on our updates. I’ll see you around guys.
